7. Vegetable dip (1983)

1/2 cup chopped parsley;
1/2 cup chopped chives or green onion tops:
1 tsp. Tabasco.

8. Spinach dip with Miracle Whip

1 cup sour cream
1 cup Miracle Whip dressing
1 can water chestnuts, chopped and drained
1 10 oz. package frozen chopped spinach, well-drained
1 pkg. vegetable soup mix (I use Knorr)

Mix well and refrigerate until needed. When ready to serve cut the top from a firm, round peasant-type bread. Scoop out, in bite-size chunks, at least half of the bread. The cavity must be large enough to hold the dip.

Place loaf on serving platter, fill with the dip and surround the loaf with the bread chunks.

As bread is difficult to dip, a small spoon or knife will be needed.
